Busy Getting Stronger

The act of living can make you hurt every day, but it also makes you strong. This is a blog about life and the strength it takes to live it

We all need a nemesis, someone to get our blood boiling and teeth grinding. They are good for the soul. They make us want to be a better person, they show us what not to do, they bring out our competitive side. Do you have one?
But be warned, karma is never too far away, so treat your nemesis with respect because one day you will be someone’s nemesis.

why does being a girl have to mean you get emotionally attached to every guy you sleep with, with the exception of drunken hook ups?

or maybe it is just me

Finally Happy

It is so hard to take that first step of getting over someone and moving on. By first step I mean being with someone else. I felt for the longest time that if I ever moved on to someone else that I would feel like shit, feel like I was cheating, and it wouldn’t be fair to the new person if I was still in love with the old one.

But you know what, that first step isn’t so bad. The first night I felt like crap and couldn’t really concentrate on the person or the events and when I went to bed, I cried. But after that the pain was gone and all my attention was on the new person. I think less and less about the old one and I can smile again, I feel happy again.

and just to clarify, I am not just happy because of the new person, although he has a lot to do with it. It is more the fact that the heaviness that goes with you everywhere when you loose a love had been lifted. This guy may be leaving tomorrow for the East Coast, but he left a happy mark on my life. He is the definition of a rebound guy, but I am thankful for him

sometimes it is REALLY hard to laugh at your self when others are laughing at you, and sometimes it is really easy to laugh at your self when you are alone.

Why is it the funniest stuff happens to me when no one else is around?
